Default Autosizing labels Excel 97

I am looking to have a label or text box autosize both horizontally and
vertically when a large amount of text is inserted. I have had no
problems getting it working horizontally - the vertical is the problem,
as quite often it just lops the bottom of a section of text. Can anyone
help?
