Insert date modified of external file
I have a hyperlink to an external file in one cell and wish to output the
modified date of that file (not the cell, worksheet, or spreadsheet) to another cell. The target file does not change directories. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. |

Insert date modified of external file
Would 'filedatetime' be applicable in this situation? I'm not familiar with
the syntax, but I would like the pathname to be equal to the value to its immediate left. For instance, cell A2 contains hyperlink to \\domain-x\filler$\morefiller.txt and I would like the modified date of this file to appear in B2. Hope this clarifies things. Thanks. |
