Default I have numbers instead of letters on my columns, why?

I don't see anywhere to change this. I copied a client's spreadsheet and now
all of my Excel sheets have numbers for the columns and the rows. It is
making it hard to do formulas. Please help!

From the menu - select Tools | Options; click the General tab and make
sure R1C1 reference style is NOT checked.
