Default CPU Usage very high for Excel viewer

Dear Mdm/Sir,

I've install a MS Excel viewer 97 at Windows 2000 proffesional workstation.

Everytime I run without open any excel file and left it in inactive mode.
But it alwasy show at the Task Manager CPU usage at 50% or 95%, never stop.

May I know why ?

Thank you !

Reg,
William
