Default Find First

Seeking a function that would find the first instance of a text in a column
and then read down another (date) column to display the timing of that
instance. Specificcally, it's a CPPI Note spreadsheet and I'd like to know
when the thing Zeroes out just by looking at one cell.

Thanks!
