![]() I need to know if there is a way (Macro?) to lock a worksheet so that no changes can ever be made. I am not talking about protecting the worksheet or workbook because you can always go in and unprotect them. I want my users to able to fill out thier worksheets and when it comes time to send them in to be able to permantly lock them down so no one on the other end can make any changes. Rod -- RodShaw2 |

The only way as far as I know to prevent changes being possible is to
password protect the Workbook and the Worksheets or maybe save the file as a Web Page or suchlike. Cant really see how you can 'lock it down' even with Copy Paste Special Values the file can still be changed. Excel password protection is basically useless when it comes to security, its meant to prevent accidental overwriting of formulas etc. Anyone with a little knowledge and the will to do so will overcome XL protection easily.
