Default pivot table returning a "value in the data items"

I want to use a pivot table to return values in the data items area. I have
several fields that are a Y or N data and Date Data. I do not want to sum or
count the data I want the specific data Y/N or Dates there. Is this
possible? If so it will save me many hours of work.

You can show dates in the data area -- they may appear as numbers at
first, but you can format them as dates (FormatCells)

For the Y/N field, you could use 0 and 1 instead, and show those in the
data area.
