Default How do I stop data from repeating?

Hello,

A client has provided me a spreadsheet that has rows of data with certain
columns that have repeating data. For instance one column lists job title.
For that column, "Registered Nurse" could be repeated for 100 rows. The
column is not part of the sort criteria. Is there a way to have only the
first occurance of each new/different title displayed as one reads down the
spreadsheet?

Thanks very much for any help out there!! :-)

You could use conditional formatting to hide the duplicates.

Debra Dalgleish shows how at:
http://contextures.com/xlCondFormat03.html#Duplicate

But once they scroll down a little bit, wouldn't it be more useful to see that
info--instead of having to scroll back to the top to see the value?
