Default Calculate won't go away despite being on Automatic

My spreadsheet contains no external links, Calculation is set to Automatic.
I have used F9 on all of the sheets. Any thoughts?

Calculate won't go away? You mean in the status bar? That's a circular
reference. See "Circular References"

Very strange. I opened the Circular Reference Toolbar and there were no
cells listed in the drop down, but the Calculate message at the bottom has
gone away for now. Thanks.

Okay. It'll say Calculate on ALL worksheets. It'll show the cell with the
circular reference only on the worksheets that contain them.

Went to every sheet, no circular references. It's working though. -Theresa

ted,

If you have more than a set number of formulas (I think it's 65536) then Excel always shows
"Caclulate".
