Default Format cell for number example 0.123

How do you format a cell so that you don't have to put the dot in everytime
before typing a number like 0.123, I have hundres to enter and don't want to
have to type that . everytime.

DKR: This article describes, basically, the opposite of what you want, but
does show the dialog box:

You'll just check the box and use 3 decimal places.
