I set up a macro in Excel to do a simple copy and paste, then later deleted
it (half accidentally) not by using Delete in the Tools = Macros screen, but by clearing all the steps in the Edit Macro screen. Now the worksheet believes there's still a macro even though there isn't one on the Tools = Macros screen. Any idea how to get rid of this "ghost"? Thanks, SongCoyote |

When you record a macro, Excel creates a module in which the code is
stored. When you delete the macro, the module is not automatically deleted. There are instructions here for finding and removing code: http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqMac.html#NoMacros SongCoyote wrote: I set up a macro in Excel to do a simple copy and paste, then later deleted it (half accidentally) not by using Delete in the Tools = Macros screen, but by clearing all the steps in the Edit Macro screen.
