Problems with static dd/mm and rolling year
Hi!
Im currently trying to create a database for work to flag up documents which are due for review each year. The IF statements are all working for this system but the one thing which is creating problems is that I cant seem to find the correct formula to show the review date (Which is an annual static dd/mm each year) but have the year part automatically rolling over to the current year. This is probably a really silly question but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere on the net! Thanks in advance! x |

When you ask questions like this, you need to give us some details to work if you want a turnkey solution. Cell references; cell contents. How you determine the review year. How you determine dd and mm: in cells; hardcoded? If the last review year is a number in A1, perhaps =DATE(A1+1,3,15) will work to specify a next review date of March 15 one year later. Alternatively, if you just want "next year", perhaps =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),3,15). If you cannot adapt either form to solve your specific problem, post a reply with some details. |
