Default Excel 2007 vlookup with Pivot table

I have an Excel spreadsheet with a pivot table.

I want to use a vlookup, but Excel does not want to make a match. The
pivot table has the square
with the plus or minus to push down or pull up rows of data. The
three digit number on the pivot table
is directly after that. I know the same three digit codes are on the
other tab that I want the vlookup to
find.

Any advice on how I could go about doing this? Please advise.
