Default Progress bar in Excel 2010

Our office geeks have just upgraded my PC from MS Office from 2007 to
2010.

In Excel 2007, on the status bar, there was a box with a green bar
that moved from left to right showing how far a progress (for example:
saving, calculating, etc) has been completed). But, in Excel 2010,
the progress bar is not being displayed.

How can I get the progress bar to be displayed?
