Default Make more than one graph fit the page

If I select one graph for printing it is automatically sized to fit the
page and only the graph is printed. That's great.

If I select two or more graphs then the whole bloody worksheet is
printed, unless I carefully arrrange the two graphs on the background
so that they have equal size, fit the page and after this carefully
select the area to print.

All this is quite tedious, particularly when thinking of jolly old
Lotus where you could just select the two or more graphs and they were
sized to fit page and all before printing.

Is this Lotus method possible in Excel as well?

It doesn't look as if the 1 chart method applies when 2 charts are selected.
Rather, an ordinary sheet print is done.

If you want to print both charts on one sheet I don't think there is a real
easy way to do it. I'd do it like this:

1. Select the range that encompasses both charts (and no more) and select
File, Print Area, Set Print Area.
2. Hold the Shift key down and click the Print toolbutton to go into Print
Preview quickly.
3. If the charts take up more than one sheet or need to be enlarged to fill
up more of the sheet, click the Setup button you see in Print Preview and
adjust the "Adjust to" percentage until you are happy with the fit. You
might have to go back and forth between setup and the preview. You might
also adjust the page margins or anything else while you're there.
4. Print.

Even easier than setting the print area:

Select the range under the two charts, go to File Print, and select
the Print Selection option. Then click the Preview button to see if you
need to change the zoom to make it all fit.

Thanks a lot, but it is still a very manual way of doing it. Also to
make the print look a litlle more than amateurish you must nudge and
expand or reduce the graphs until they are exactly equal in size and
position. All very, very tedious and really obsolete in 2005.

I miss the old Lotus approach where you just selected the graphs and
that was it. All the rest, sizing and arranging, etc., went
automatically. Lotus made this at least 10 years ago, but Microsoft is
still sleeping. God, how I wish they could have some competition!!!
