Default Launching Program with Time Sensitive Data

I use excel to create orders for parts from a variety of different suppliers.
After I create and fax the order to the specific vendor, I have to "remember"
to go back to the same order in a couple of days and call the vendor to
ensure they received the order that I sent to them. Currently I am using a
separate program (cute reminder) or a plain "sticky note" to remind me to do
this, however what I would LIKE to be able to do is to use an integrated
option or formula or perhaps a 3rd party program that allows me to simply set
a date and time within Excel for the program and specific file to launch
automatically at the assigned date and time. Is this possible? Please help.
Thanks! :)
