Good afternoon Ankur

Go to Tools Macro Record new macro. Once it is recording right
click on your toolbar at the top and look at all the toolbars
available. One should say Stop Recording. Select this and then click
on the stop recording button. The next time you come to record a macro
the toolbar will open automatically.

Default macro toolbar

Thank Goodness!!!! I've spent about an hour, closing the file, the program,
reopening and trying to find this in "help". All because when the toolbar
greyed out while recording to stop recording I closed it by clicking on the
"X" close button - and it still didnt stop recording :-(.
Thanks fellas.
