Default Cell format in Excel 2003

cell shows like ################# but when I edit the cell I am able to
complete text information (combination of text and number). I would like to
retain complete entries in the cell.

Please let me know if I need to make some formatting changes.

Thanks in advance.

You have two options. One is to widen the cell by putting your cursor over
the column (A, B, C etc.) where the data is and double clicking. This will
automatically lengthen the cell to the correct size. Your other option is to
right click the cell and select format cell. From the Alignment tab check the
box that says Wrap Text and click OK. You may need to resize the row (1, 2, 3
etc.) if it doesn't happen automatically.

This did not work. One more input to this problem, it happens only when
number of characters in the cell is more than 251. I have more than 251 char
to enter in the cell. Is there a solution for this scenario?

I just tried this in Excel and did not have the same problem. I went to 260
characters and it still worked. Check your cell format. What is it setup to
be? Is it General or number or other?

Thanks for your help. It was Text format previously. When I changed to
general, it worked.
