There is a limit on how much is displayed and a limit on how much can be
copied. For Excel 2003, the display limit is 1024 characters. Cell can hold 32,767 characters. Formula bar will display up to 32,767 characters. Quantro Pro? is Excel's rival. It might be more flexible. "s.gun" wrote: im tryin to format a cell so that it automatically gets bigger if i type a large amount of text. can ne1 help?? thanx a lot |

S,
You'll need wrap text turned on (Format - Cells - Alignment tab - Wrap text). You'll need the row set to Autofit (Format - Row - Autofit). Now the row height will adjust to the amount of text. If you manually adjust the row height, autofit will be turned off. Be aware of the limitations Mike referred to, if you have large amounts of text. You may need some line-feeds (Alt-Enter) throughout your data if the text amount is large. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com "s.gun" wrote in message ... im tryin to format a cell so that it automatically gets bigger if i type a large amount of text. can ne1 help?? thanx a lot |
