Date Format
The digits typed do not match the output, I wonder why.
I also tried to type 000000 and that defaulted to Jan1 1900. then I input 010101 which results into 8/27/27 , for 8/27/1927. this really baffles me, as I tried to Clear All to no avail. thanks for your help |
You have to put in a date separator to get dates, such as
01/01/01 or 15/01/2004 -- HTH Bob Phillips "itqueen" wrote in message ... The digits typed do not match the output, I wonder why. dah, thanks, Bob. yup, the separators...that about doubles the time during
huge amount of data entries. So I did the right thing ... created a special format "00 00 00" , with only 6 digits needed for input. If you have a lot of dates to input, you could take a look at
http://xldynamic.com/source/xld.QDEDownload.html, might be just what you need. -- HTH Bob Phillips "itqueencanada" wrote in message ... dah, thanks, Bob. yup, the separators...that about doubles the time during huge amount of data entries. Date Format
So aside from the QDE tool, Excel(2000) does not have an input mask for dates
like it has for SS# or zip codes. My data is very simple and do not anticipate calculating on the dates.
