Default How can I ensure #records in a selected set always shows in Excel

Many times, when using Autofilter in Excel 2002, the number of selected
records sometimes shows in lower left corner, and sometimes not. Why does
this happen and how can I fix it so it always appears?

Debra Dalgleish explains it all at:
http://www.contextures.com/xlautofilter02.html#Count

And offers a couple of workarounds.
