What_If, Goal_Seeker, Solver???
I am trying to find the *smallest increase* of % in fees collected to get a breakeven in sales using these 3 functions i suppose. I have tried several times and feel that Solver is the function to use, but i am having problem with the contrictions! Is there anyway to put in a constriction such that i can have the *SAME* percentage increase for all Customers' fees? E.g. 20% increase for all customers' fees? Please help :( :( . If solver is not the function please guide me along....Thanks a bunch!! -- aeiou ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aeiou's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25595 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=392255 |

How's your spreadsheet set up? It seems to me that the easiest way might be to choose an out of the way cell and place the % increase there. Then link the % increase for each customer to that one cell. -- MrShorty ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrShorty's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=22181 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=392255 |

Is it not just a straight calculation? Suppose
A1 = Last year's fee income B1 = This year increase in Costs C1 = B1/A1 FormatCellNumberPercentage Multiply each Customer's This year's fees by (1+C1) -- Regards Roger Govier "aeiou" wrote in message ...
