![]() Hi I'm using Excel *2002 * and have a number of rows hidden (lots all over the place) and I can't get them to unhide easily The only way I can do it is to go to (F5) the row I can see is hidden and then select row - unhide Does anyone know if there is a quicker/easier way to do this I have tried selecting everything and then choosing row - unhide and also selecting the rows above ad below the hidden one but neither option works at all and the rows are still hidden. The data in the hidden rows does not get sorted when I do a sort which is a problem The spreadsheet was created by someone else and I'm not sure what has been done to cause this Any help would be so appreciated otherwise I'm going to unhiding rows individually all day!! ![]() Hi If you select all of cells within the sheet then go Format Rows Unhide. This will unhide all rows within a sheet. To do the same for the columns select all of the cells then go Format Columns Unhide. If you have many sheets with many hidden cells, it may be worth creating a macro which hides/unhides all hidden cells within all of the sheets. Hope this helps Tubbsy -- tubbsy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tubbsy's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=24743 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=388626 |

![]() Hi I've tried that, but the only way I can get any hidden row to unhide is to go directly to it and then do format - row - unhide. It just doesn't seem to want to unhide if do select all or do anything other than actually be in a cell in the hidden row and I can't get there by cursor keys - only by the F5 way! But thanks anyway R -- raehippychick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ raehippychick's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=8843 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=388626 |

Maybe you can select all the cells (ctrl-a (twice when you get to xl2003)).
Then format|row|height put in 12 (or whatever you want) The with all the cells still selected format|row|autofit raehippychick wrote: Hi I'm using Excel *2002 * and have a number of rows hidden (lots all over the place) and I can't get them to unhide easily The only way I can do it is to go to (F5) the row I can see is hidden and then select row - unhide Does anyone know if there is a quicker/easier way to do this I have tried selecting everything and then choosing row - unhide and also selecting the rows above ad below the hidden one but neither option works at all and the rows are still hidden.
