Windows 2000 & XL 2000
I am trying to open a file from a folder which is in a folder that has approx 1400 other folders in it. When I try and do this from within XL the File Open the 1400 folders above it and the files below the last folder do not appear in the window. The dialog box freezes and all I can do is press the "X" at the top left, which gives me an error message and kicks me out of XL. The file opens fine from within Explorer. Apart from the obvious "Open it from within Explorer", does anyone know why this might happen? I suspect a limitation on the number of folders . . . TIA Steve |
