Default Selecting and summing across worksheets

I know how to click and drag across cells as a means of viewing a
accumulating total at the bottom of the screen.

But how do I do this across worksheets in order to see an accumulating total
by selecting cells across worksheets.

I don't think you can do that using the feature in the status bar, but you
could make a summary sheet:

You could try this if all the cells are in *exactly* the same location:

Let's say in the first sheet,
In an unused cell enter

=SUM(

Hold <Shift
Click in the tab of the last sheet,
NOW, select the cells that you wish to total,
Hit <Enter

Make note of the total in the formula cell, then select it, and hit
<Delete.
