Hi,
I have having a problem pasting Excel into Frontpage - My clients are using Excel to keep their product stock/price list, this has also been used to update their webpage by selecting the relavant goods and pasting it as a table onto the webpage (frontpage). I wrote the original site and it has worked ok. I have now rewritten the website and intended to use the same method. I have upgraded to FP2003 and so I installed the same upgrade onto my clients computer. The pasting method works fine on my computer and others in the office - but not on my clients. When they try to paste Excel it no longer appears to be a table but appears as a list - not what they want as the information needs to be clear. My clients want to keep this methods as it is familiar and they are not very computer literate. They do have a new computer network and their drives have different letter names - but I wouldn't have thought that would make any difference. I tried 'paste special - value only' onto a seperate worksheet before copying and pasting into Frontpage - no different. Someone suggested saving excel as html before pasting - I assume this is the save as webpage option (its the only one available - Excel is not my thing) I tried it but this would be difficult as there are some 30 + pages that need to be updated some daily, and as I said, my clients would have a panic attack! Can anyone throw any light on this problem please! |
