Default Getting started pane

I have upgraded to Office 2003 Professional. In Excell, every time I open a
Excell, I get a "Getting Started" pane (?) on the right side covering about
1/3 of the spreadsheet. How do I shut off or do away with that pane, because
it is becomming a real pane.
