I'd like to import an 8 1/2" x 11" jpg image into an exel 2000 spreadsheet
and be able to enter data into the cells and still see the image underneath. Is this possible and how do I do it. |

This would be impossible or nearly so using Microsoft Excel. You could do it
with Word. http://www.officearticles.com/word/t...oft_word. htm However, I think it's crazy to try it under any circumstances. ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com www.MyExpertsOnline.com "cjones" wrote in message ... In Excel, I inserted the image and then hit the Set Transparent Color.
If you tab through the cells from outside the image, you can type over the image but of course the Set Transparent Color changes my original image color. What is the best way to create a dummy statement using a scanned image that I can then type my data and color print? "Anne Troy" wrote: This would be impossible or nearly so using Microsoft Excel. Skip the scanned image and create a form. By the time you spend all your
time trying to get a scanned image in, you could create the form. You could try: format / sheet / background.... It won't print, but it will display the way you
want. HTH, Bernie MS Excel MVP "cjones" wrote in message ... I'd like to import an 8 1/2" x 11" jpg image into an exel 2000 spreadsheet and be able to enter data into the cells and still see the image underneath. Is this possible and how do I do it. |

Thank you both for your tips. Not sure which way I'll go.

Bernie
...but it will display the way you want. Welllllll, not exactly. A sheet background image is put on the screen actual size (pixel for pixel), tiled from the upper left corner. You can't move it around. Changing zoom doesn't change the size. Changing the screen resolution does, I think. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com/ ------------------------------------------- "Bernie Deitrick" <deitbe @ consumer dot org wrote in message ...
