link two workbooks
When I link cells in different workbooks, I select the destination cell, type
=, and then go to the source cell in the 2nd workbook and select it. In Office 97, can you start the linking process at the source cell rather than the destination cell? |

Sure. Copy the source cell. Select the destination cell and pick Edit, Paste
Special, Paste Link. Then press Esc to exit Copy mode.. -- Jim Rech Excel MVP "Tracey" wrote in message ... | When I link cells in different workbooks, I select the destination cell, type | =, and then go to the source cell in the 2nd workbook and select it.
