Default Hyperlinking footnotes - urgent question

Hi - I have a lengthy spreadsheet with footnotes. The data is on one tab
(with footnote numbers) and the actual footnotes are on a second tab. I've
hyperlinked the footnotes (now appear blue/underlined) and they work fine.

I'm concerned, however, that when I email the document (to both Mac and PC
users) that the hyperlinks will still search for my directory or hard drive.
Is there a way to make the hyperlink pathname more "relative" to just within
this single spreadsheet??

Or, alternatively, is there a different or better method to linking
footnotes to text???

Thank you, thank you!!!

Only if you have hyperlinks to other files should you have to worry, since
these are linked to the same file all should be OK
