Please in the next version of Excel, let the user shutdown the autoformating.
It is very frustrating to import data in and the data gets changed. I have an Excel spreadsheet that I get data from and there is data like "01-01-04". This gets changed to "01/01/2004". Why your company implemented this in Excel without the user not being able to shut it off is beyond me. At the moment it is making me very upset. I do not want my data messed with. Import it in like wysiwyg. Thanks. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
