Default how to get back excel data that was accidentally changed?

I had some data in excel file. i accidentally changed and saved it. but i
urgently need the original data. i could get back part of data as that was
linked to a pivot report and pivot report retreived it back for me. how can i
get back the rest of it?

If you don't have a backup copy then I'm afraid that it's lost and gone
forever :-(
