Default General protection fault in module HPPCL5F4.DLL at 0002:000006c2.

When I print from Excel (other Office applications are fine), I get the
message that an error has occurred in the program. The details say Excel
caused a general protection fault in module HPPCL5F4.DLL at 0002:000006c2.
Something with the driver, I assume. I'm working on a windows 98 machine
with Excel 2002 (terribly slow combination), printing to a shared HP 4500N
LaserJet over a network at work. When I print to my personal HP DeskJet 710c
(connected to LPT1), it does fine. Just the network printer has this
problem. So what's up? Thanks for your suggestions.

Have you visited HP's site to get a fresh copy of the driver?

If you've already tried this and xl still crashes, lots of HP printers will
emulate other printers (Series II from the olden days??).

Maybe installing a new, er, older driver would help.
