Inserting page numbers in a cell
Certain data in my spreadsheet has to reference to a specific page number
when the spreadsheet is printed. I can't find a formula that would provide information about a page number (something like =CELL("filename")) Any help would be appreciated. |

need something similar. i have a list of manufacturers' and their respective
products on a sheet. items on this list are constantly being added and removed. this list is also filtered so that certain data can be printed. On a master sheet I want to be able to list the pages that a particular manufacturer's items are on, even when this list of items is filtered. I figure if I can get access to the page number like danny then I would be good to go. Please don't step on someone else's thread before they have an answer
a "me too" posting before the answer can be very distracting.. Your answer could be solved by two more columns on a help column. In answer to Danny's question, the Original Poster, first of all the CELL function needs two operands or you are in trouble see http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/pathname.htm Back to the actual question, Page number, inserted into a cell, Laurent Longre, Myrna Larson. http://groups.google.com/groups?thre...gp13.phx .gbl --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "MidNiteRaver" wrote in message ... need something similar. i have a list of manufacturers' and their respective products on a sheet. items on this list are constantly being added and removed. this list is also filtered so that certain data can be printed.
