Default Drawing in Excel

Hi Everybody
In Excel 2002, if I draw a shape using individual lines and arcs is it
possible to connect them together to form one shape which can then be filled
with colour like a Autoshape. I know that they can be group together but I
could not get fill to work on the group

Many thanks.

Maybe you could fill the shapes before you group--or even add another shape that
can be filled before grouping.

Thanks for your reply Dave,
The problem is lines and arcs cannot be filled because they are open end and
not an enclosed shape. I need to use lines and arcs because the drawing
cannot be made up from the basic shapes in Excel. I need to either be able to
join-up the lines and arcs to make an enclosed shape, or, be able to draw my
own autoshape and use that. I am not sure there is an answer to this one but
I am hoping
Many thanks.
