Default how do I enter a zipcode starting with a 0

i am typing a name list. Some of the zipcodes start with a 0 (east coast).
Excel doesn't show the 0 and shows only 4 digits. How do I get it to show the
0

If these are all 5 digits then you could format via FormatCells...Custom as
00000 or you could pre-format the cells as text (Same route and select text
from the formatting list) or prefix with a single apostrophe '. It will hold
the 0 but will not display itself

Format the cells with FormatCellsSpecialZip Code
