Default Moving a file without carrying over permissions

Is it possible to move an excel file into another folder on a shared drive
without carrying over the permissions set in the source folder?

Default

Hello Stu,

I believe that is the default behavior, at least if I move a file out of my
private folder into the shared folder on this computer, then the other user
can read/edit it. Going the other way, you can protect both sheets and
workbooks (ToolsProtection), and the folder it's in won't matter. And in
Office 2003 Pro you can restrict permission on an Office file itself:
FilePermission.

Regards,
IanRoy
