Unhappy Help Me Need To Delete Decimals

Hello...need a quick answer if anyone can help out....
I'm trying to format about 10,000 prices to end up having no decimals but retaining the numbers...not the value.
For example:

$315.50

to

31550

I've tried multiplying by 100 and copying the formula down the column, but it's only giving me the initial value although when you click on a cell it's showing that the cell should be reading differently. If that makes any sense...I've been doing this for almost 3 hours now...pleeeease help!!

In a separate column, multiply the formatted number you want to change by 100, copy this formula down the list, select all items in new column, copypaste specialvaluesokay

Supposing that the value in A1 is $315.50

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,".","")*10

Then format the cell as a GENERAL number.

Another trick is, let's say all your prices are in column A. In cell A2, input 100. Then copy A2, highlight all your prices then Right Click Paste Special Multiply. Then format the cell as a GENERAL number.
