Auto filter is active and functioning properly. Some other activities occur. Then Autofilter arrows produce no pull downs when clicked. Items in the Data pulldown are under-intensified, e.g., Sort, autofilter, group and outline.

So, autofilter is inop and cannot be turned off. Sort is inop. Sometimes running a macro to filter show all turns the autofilter back on. Sometimes not. Copying to new file moves only the stuff that is showing.

Any thoughts on why or a reliable way to correct would be appreciated.
