Default Booked locked for editing properties

How do you set the properties so that whoever is in a workbook and you get
the message "...locked for edtiting" Isn't there a way that each person from
their computer can put there name or identifier in?

Normally setup during intial run of XL. To change it:
Tools - Options, User Name
