Military leave is calculated .5 days of leave for every 6 days.
What I'm trying to do is calculate the number of leave days earned while on active duty. For example a reservist is mobilized on the 10th of March 04 and comes off of active duty on 1 Apr 05. Since he started on 10 March 04 the leave earned for the month of March would be 2 days. From Apr 04 to Mar 05 he would earn 2.5 days for each month and since his last day is 1 Apr 05 he would only earn 0.5 for the month of Apr. If you start active duty any day between 1-6 of the month, you will earn 2.5 days for that month, any period between the 7-12 of the month you would earn 2 days and so on. If you end active duty any day between 1-6 of the month you would only earn 0.5 days of leave for that month. 7-12 would be 1 day, etc.. Everyday of the month counts. Days stored is "F5" The 4 came from calculating from 4 Jan which for Jan I would earn 2.5 days and to 15 Feb I would earn 1.5 days which equals 4. Thanks for any help! I'm trying to figure out a formula for annual leave. I need it to calcultate for the month. For example: Days 1 thru 6 would = 0.5 7-12=0.5 13-18=0.5 19-24=0.5 25-31=0.5 Equaling 2.5 days for a month. If the start date is 4 jan 05 and the end date is 15 feb 05 the total would be 4.0 total days earned |
