I been using excel 2000 for many years now. I have searched the forums and
the internet about the other versions I know I do not want to upgrade to 2007.
I have not found too much info on 2003 would anyone have a complete listing
or know if it would be better to upgrade to 2003 from 2000. I only use the
basic functions like vlookup, If, find, password, auto sort, and split and
freeze frames. So I only use it for the general basic functions not too much
VBA. So if anyone has any suggestion please let me know.

Unless 2003 (or 2007 or 2010) has something you specifically need and 2000 is
still doing the work you need it to do, stick with 2000. You'll probably
have a difficult time finding a copy of 2003 anyhow, and I'd skip over 2007
completely since they're already taking pre-orders for 2010 for a June
delivery if you need something in 2010.

Some niceties in 2010 over 2000: nested functions can now go to 64 instead
of 7 [this was usually a limitation for nested IF() statements] although I'm
not sure you could ever make sense with 30 or 40 levels of nested anything!.
Obviously there is room for more data with the extension to over 1M rows and
64K columns. There are a couple of added functions such as SUMIFS() that
make life a little easier at specific times. But VLOOKUP, IF, sorting, Find,
splitting and freezing panes pretty much still work the same way.

I do have a copy of 2003 but if you suggest that 2000 is just fine I would
not mind staying with it. Thnak you for your response and giving me the
lowdown on 2010.
