Default Linking workbooks; experiencing random "#n/a" error

I am attempting to link multiple (~35) workbooks from a single source. The
destination workbook is displaying "#N/A" on some cells, while others (with
the same protection properties) are updating without issue.

A little more info: The source and destination workbooks are identical in
terms of formatting, cell locations and tabs. The destination workbook has
been created by selecting cell ranges and then utilizing the "paste link"
function. The destination workbooks must also be protected at both the
workbook and sheet levels.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
