how do I stop excel from recalculating sheet every time I open one
Hi,
If Excel is prompting for a 'save' then something has changed. For example this could be a cell with a formula in that looks at the current time. If you haven't changed anything else then it's probably safe to ignore this and simply close without saving but I wouldn't do it and if you want to know why then this forum has posts from people asking how they can get their data back because they forgot to save. -- Mike When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the question.
