One way to do it is to turn grid lines off, select section you want gridlines
in and click on "all borders."

Default spreadsheet part and part without grid lines

Use a background color of White to wipe out gridlines where you don't want
them.

OR turn off gridlines entirely and use borders on the cells with lines.
