How do I remove an Autoshape?
Using Excle version 2003, I have come across an autoshape that cannot be
deleted. It "sits" in a specific place: between columns D and E and extends from line 4 to line 6 I can make it larger, change its size, even move and format it as a picture - e.g. fill it red. After I have made the first change (whether that is making it larger or moving it) I can delete it but when I go back to where I found it - it is still there! If I add more lines it moves with the text and copying the text copies the autoshape which then won't be removed - other than by removing the entire line I suspect there are more autoshapes in my spreadsheet as it is really slowing down processing time. Any idea how I can get rid of it? |

And if they start coming back, it probably means that there's some VBA code
in the workbook creating them in response to some action or data entry somewhere, so if they do come back, check for the presence of some VBA code in the workbook.
