one cell in my worksheet appears blank, but answr shows in formula
I have Excel 2003
I have a worksheet that is linked to another worksheet. The sheet is a YTD of all the data collected for several units. It's a simple formula where I typed the equal sign in , then clicked on the cell in the other worksheet so it shows in this worksheet. One cell out of many appears to be blank, yet when I click on it the actual answer shows up in the formula bar. I've checked all the formatting and all appears to be well, the font color is black. I tried re-doing the formula with the same result. I deleted the formula from that cell and typed the answer in, with the same result! Any idea why it's doing this? Are there gremlins in my worksheet?? Thanks, Susan |

I re-checked the formatting and it's set for percentage, 2 decimal places. I
clicked on custom and in the box it showed the number that should be showing in the cell, but it just doesn't show. "Gord Dibben" wrote: Check the formatting again. I went to edit/clear all, but the number still doesn't show. I tried copying
the formula from the cell above and doing paste special into the cell, nothing shows (but the formula shows in the formula bar when I click on the seemingly blank cell). I've checked that the font isn't set for white so that it doesn't show - it's not, it's set for black. It's so weird. It's one cell in a sea of cells. the formulas were all applied at the same time and in the same way and all of the other cells show just fine except this one. It's a little freaky, lol. Here's an update, I did an error evaluation and the formula is shown but when
I click on "evaluate" the result is blank. when I click on a different cell and run the error evaluation, the formula is shown and when I click on "evaluate" it shows the number that shows in that cell. I just can't figure this out! "Reeza" wrote: On Apr 9, 8:12 am, Meenie wrote: I have Excel 2003 I have a worksheet that is linked to another worksheet. another update - if I change the formula to link to a different cell, the
answer shows up in this blank cell. But when I re enter the formula for the correct link, the cell is again blank. grrr "Reeza" wrote: On Apr 9, 8:12 am, Meenie wrote: I have Excel 2003 I have a worksheet that is linked to another worksheet.
