I have large amount of data having * signs in between the names for E.g Tom*,
Di*ck, *Harry. I want to have a plain names without the * signs. Can someine help in this? |

do a find and replace. you don't say which version of excel you're using.

Use the 'Find and Replace' option
--Select the column/range and hit Ctrl+H --Hit 'Options' in Find/Replace window. --Make sure you select 'Formulas' in 'Look In' --Find What: ~* --Replace With: (leave this blank) --Hit Replace All -- Jacob "virag" wrote: I have large amount of data having * signs in between the names for E.g Tom*, Di*ck, *Harry.
