Default Find utility, highlighting answer

In the older version of Excel when I used the find utility it would highlight
the cells found in a different shade.

When I use the same utility in Excel 2007 the highlighting is bearly
visable, so I cannot see what I searched for.

Is there a way I can change this so the highlighted result is more visable ?.

Hi Phil, I don't think there is.

What I do to get around the problem that you have identified is, before I
start the search, highlight all the cells in the Worsheet (by clicking on
cell to the left of A and above 1 towards the top left hand corner) then I do
Ctrl-F: that way the cells that you are looking for are much more clearly
highlighted.

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks.

After running the "Find All", hit CTRL + a to select all cells in the
"Found" dialog box.

Then hit your colorpicker to color the cells darker.

If you want a permanent fix for the selected cells coloring in Excel 2007
here is a Registry hack.

StartRun regededit.exe

Drill down to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\E xcel\Options

Right-click on Options6 and ModifyDecimal........change the 32 to 16

When you select multiple cells all but the active cell will be black.
