Hi
I have an excel spreadsheet that I am trying to sort ascending by user name. Most of the time this works with no problems. However sometimes there are some records that appear to be locked and do not get sorted. The records above and below get sorted but these ones do not. I am importing data from other excel spreadsheets so not sure if this is causing the problem. Any help on this would be appreciated. Many Thanks Nathan |

They may be importing as text instead of dates? You might want to convert
the date column to number format each time you import. Just select a blank cell way off to the right (like AA1) and copy it, then highlight your date column and Paste Special Add to convert the entire column from text to numeric, then format as dates, every time you import. You can also record a macro to do this. -- Please remember to indicate when the post is answered so others can benefit from it later.
